Calgary Youth Science Fair 2026
The Calgary Youth Science Fair held on April 9, 2026, featured nearly 800 participants from grades 5-12. Notable achievements included Gold awards for Gayatri S, Harpaavan S, and Puneet D, who received invitations to the Canada-Wide Science Fair. Drone Racing Intramurals at the SW
The Drone Racing Tournament at SW Junior High is underway, featuring head-to-head matchups through a series of drone gates. Held on Thursdays during lunch, participants use BETA FPV drones and can opt for an immersive FPV experience or fly by sight. The champion will be announced later this spring. Read more

Digital Visual Design: Stickers
The SW Junior High Digital Visual Design course utilizes the STEMIA Design Process for custom sticker creation. Students brainstorm ideas, develop prototypes, gather client feedback, and refine designs. Final sketches are digitized using Adobe Illustrator, and completed stickers are produced with Cricut Design Studio. Future projects will focus on T-shirt design. Read more
