Meet the Cast of Lockers, Legends, and Late Assignments

By Tyler Christiansen and Jenna Spencer

This year, our SW Jr High students are bringing something brand new to our school community: a student-made comedy pilot TV show called “Lockers, Legends, and Late Assignments.” Think of it as our own sitcom set in the halls of our very own junior high, where homework, lockers, and friendship become the stage for laughter.  Students were first shown the script to this brand-new show a couple weeks ago, and have already submitted video auditions and had a couple read throughs in their roles.

The cast has been chosen, and we’re thrilled to introduce the “students” of our show:

Shanaya as Casey – The Overachiever

Casey has a color-coded binder for every subject, knows every due date by heart, and has probably already asked the teacher for extra credit. If there’s a pop quiz, Casey is ready. Well… usually. Panic, flashcards, and racing through hallways are all part of the package.

Finley as Jordan – The Class Clown

Where there’s silence, Jordan fills it with a joke. A master of banana microphones, prank-level creativity, and perfectly timed one-liners, Jordan’s mission in life is to keep everyone laughing—even if it’s during math class.

Ahmad as Riley – The Athlete

You’ll probably spot Riley doing push-ups before homeroom or balancing a basketball on one finger during English. Always ready for a challenge, Riley is a teammate to everyone—even if the game is just surviving Monday morning.

Finn as Sam – The New Kid

Sam is still figuring out the school map, the schedule, and maybe even where the cafeteria is. Nervous but determined, Sam reminds us what it’s like to be new, awkward, and brave enough to join a group of total characters.

Paige as Taylor – The Artist

Doodles, drama, and deep sighs—Taylor sees life as one giant masterpiece. Locker problems? A tragedy in three acts. A pop quiz? Pure performance art. Taylor brings the flair and imagination that keeps the group… interesting.

And Don’t Forget the Hallway Crew…

A show doesn’t begin to come alive until all background characters are there supporting the leads.  Our background characters for the pilot episode are:

They may not always be center stage, but without them, the hallways wouldn’t feel quite as alive.

Lockers, Legends, and Late Assignments is more than a show—it’s our students’ chance to write, perform, and bring a little laughter into our school. Stay tuned for the premiere, and get ready to see the familiar chaos of junior high… turned into comedy.
