This year in Science 9, we incorporated a crayfish dissection to enhance our Biodiversity Unit. Students began by exploring the ecological niche of crayfish and their interactions within the ecosystem. They also discussed a local case study on invasive crayfish in Airdrie. Following this, they worked in groups to study structural adaptations. During the lab, students measured specific structures to analyze variation within the species. It was an engaging and fun activity, especially during midterm season!
