On March 14th, three of our grade 9 students had an opportunity to represent STEM IA Junior High in the annual Team Regionals competition for live poetry performance along with their coach, Mr. Acheson at Bishop Carroll High School.
The event was sponsored by a national non-profit organization called Poetry in Voice and encourages poetry in schools across the country. This was our first time participating in the contest and we were up against teams from 6 other schools, 5 of which were high schools! Remarkably, our talented team of Sara W., Maryam A., and Sofia S. all delivered inspiring performances and were awarded 3rd place!
