This school year, our junior high has been prototyping Video Announcements, sharing school events, student birthdays, and a daily joke. The co-anchors for the announcements are student council members who work with Ms. Gillie, Ms. Ochitwa, and Mr. Wood. The daily announcements are ‘Live’ every morning during our homeroom standup class. Each announcement is also archived on our STEMIA Journal YouTube channel for students and families who may have missed the live event.
We will continue to refine the process and delivery as we provide these daily announcements. Watch for new title screens, frames, and maybe even digital avatar anchors in the future.
