From October 21st-27th, I was honored to join Team Canada and attend MILSET, the biggest youth science exposition in the world!

The event took place in Mexico, and over 30 countries flew in to represent their people. It was an incredible experience, as we met NASA representatives, pioneers in the Apollo project at NASA, and incredible youth who were making breakthroughs in STEM.

A lot of the event was focused on culture exchange, with an entire day dedicated to exploring Mexican cultures and interacting with the participants from the other 29 countries. We also met students from local schools, and they showed genuine interest in our projects!

Team Canada took home the most prestigious prize, “Best Delegation” which was exciting because there were incredible projects ranging from a microwave that could produce ceramics in only 30 minutes from Taiwan, and an automatic robot that detected and put out fires in minutes from Oman. Overall, it was great to see the amount of youth innovation that was occurring globally, and we all made lifelong friends!
