PC Remix 9 is not your average ‘computer course’. Our PC Remix course provides students with a deeper understanding of the inner workings of computers and the components that bring them to life.
PC Remix 9 is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive experience, covering all aspects of computer hardware. Concepts reviewed include: component functionality, differences in measured performance, and background knowledge on current market trends in the world of Computers.
Throughout the course, they have the opportunity to dismantle and rebuild computer systems, reformat and set up fresh operating system installations, and troubleshoot PCs for various issues such as Malware and Ransomware. This immersive learning process ensures that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle real-world challenges in the realm of computer hardware.
The course culminates in the PC Remix 9 Capstone Project where students put their skills to the test. The project involves the creation of two pieces of hardware—a custom PLA60 Mechanical Keyboard and a high-speed Cat6 Ethernet Cable. Students delve into the intricacies of soldering, component assembly, and fine-tuning switches and stabilizers. The result is the student’s PLA60 Mechanical Keyboard and Cat6 Ethernet Cable created from the students’ hard work and attention to detail. Next year, the Capstone Project may shift a little, but will be very similar in concept.
